The Allegany County Library System will hold a Library Ambassador Information Session tonight at the LaVale Library beginning at 5pm.  Ashley Swinford, Director of Outreach, says the ambassadors program is a new initiative to engage local leaders, business owners, and community members who want to play an active role in shaping the future of public library services in Allegany County…

“We’ll talk about, kind of the current library situation, what we’re looking at entering into fiscal year ’27, some of the current projects that the library has ongoing, as well as our current strategies of getting the word out there and raising money so that people have a general base knowledge of what we’re currently doing and what areas we can do more in.”
