AHEC West was recently given the designation of being a Recovery Friendly Workplace at the Platinum Level by the Western Maryland Consortium. The workplace model encourages the hiring of people in recovery, the support of employees, and collaboration among employees to drive positive change and eliminate barriers. The designation is a result of the completion of activities including naloxone training, stigma-reduction measures, and incorporating other policies.
