Allegany County Historic Society is hosting Basket Making History Huddle at the History Discovery Center 400 North Mechanic Street, Cumberland from 1:30 – 3 PM today. Nathan and Stina Jenkins were big hits at Heritage Days '24! As the Bodging Bigfoot, they carry on the traditions of Irish basket making forward from Nathan's roots in the Shenandoah Valley. Some of their completed baskets will be available for sale on Saturday. Registration is requested because space is limited to 40 participants. ACHS plans to have firehouse doors wide open in the early afternoon, so feel free to wander on over.
