On December 4th, 2025 the Cumberland Police Department served two warrants on Gordon Joshua Whitfield. The first bench was issued as a result of failing to appear for a Circuit Court hearing on July 15th, 2025, for original charges of CDS possession not marijuana. The second arrest warrant was issued after a Cumberland Police officer completed an investigation into a theft that occurred on E. Oldtown Road. Whitfield was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking; where he was later presented before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
