Emily Bennett, a High Level Care unit registered nurse, received the monly DAISY Award from UPMC. Nurses are nominated by patients, family members of patients and staff to recognize nurses making a difference in the lives of others. Bennett’s nomination came from a patient who noted her responsiveness and compassion. She received a certificate, pin, and a stone sculpture entitled “A Healer’s Touch,” made by a tribe in Zimbabwe.
