On Saturday, December 27, 2025, officers with the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence on W. Clement Street for a reported domestic assault.

Upon arrival, officers reviewed video surveillance involving both parties, identified as Kayla Abe and Kyle Keller. Following an investigation, officers determined that a mutual assault had occurred.

Both individuals were placed under arrest. During a search incident to arrest, officers located suspected CDS paraphernalia on Kayla Abe and suspected CDS on Kyle Keller. Each was subsequently issued a criminal citation related to the CDS offenses.

They were transported to the Allegany County Detention Center for initial appearances. Kayla was released on her own recognizance pending her trial, and Kyle was held without bond pending his trial.

  Charges: Assault 2nd Degree; CDS Paraphernalia
• Kyle Anthoney Keller, 32, of Cumberland, Maryland
  Charges: Assault 2nd Degree; CDS Possession
