The City of Cumberland is at work on plans to celebrate America’s 250th birthday this summer.  A committee is working on events for the celebration and a date of Saturday,June 27th has been set for an America 250 parade. Jeff Silka, City of Cumberland Administrator said other events will be planned the week ahead of the parade…

   

“We’ll probably plan to do a week lead-in to it with our Main Street community, our businesses, we’ll probably proclaim Cumberland 250 Week. So we’re going to have a lot of things geared into that. I will say there will be a lot of bunting.”
