Governor Wes Moore’s Redistricting Advisory Commission has decided to recommend drafting new congressional district maps.  Senator Angela Alsobrooks who chaired the commission released a statement saying Maryland must move forward so the next Congress reflects the will of the people and can serve as a real check on President Trump. Maryland Democratic Senator Bill Ferguson also released a statement saying he believes the commission’s outcome was pre-determined and a majority of the testimony heard by the commission was against redistricting.
