The tree will be lit tonight and the town of Lonaconing is ready for its annual Coney Christmas celebration this Saturday. The day starts early with breakfast at Goodwill Fire Company, and the holiday parade begins at 11am. Lonaconing’s Mayor, Jack Coburn, shared with WCBC some of the other events happening on Saturday ‘Throughout the day, there will be all kinds of fun things for the kids – a lot of free stands this year. There will be face painting, cookie decorating, letters to Santa stations; we have a winter carnival with a bounce-house. And there will be food and things that you do need to purchase.”
