The Cumberland Mayor and Council presented City Star Awards during Tuesday’s meeting.  One recipient was 12-year-old Sidda Brock who has collected donations for various programs in the community for the last four years including the foster children’s program and over $2,300 for the Alzheimer’s Association.  Mayor Ray Morriss says Brock is exceeding at public service at her young age. “When she sees someone who needs help she’s there to try to figure out a way to give that individual help, whether it’s purchases for gift baskets or things like that.  At 10 she helped her friend collect items for veterans, so, you know, she really spreads it all the way around the community, and, you know, I think that’s quite an accomplishment for a young lady that is now 12-years-old.”
