The Allegany County Commissioners appointed the three remaining seats on the Allegany County Library System’s Board of Trustees during last night’s County Commissioner meeting.  Molly Nelson McCord of Westernport and Lonaconing Mayor Jack Coburn will complete the terms of Gary Leasure and Dr. Artie Travis while Katie Weir will follow Sue Rudd with a five-year term.  Commissioner Dave Caporale said the County is hopeful about going forward…

“I know there have been a lot of ups and downs this year with the library, and I think we’re all very optimistic about everybody working together to make a brighter future for it.”

ACLS Interim Director Lisa McKenney told WCBC she is glad to have a full, seven member board in place…

“I look forward to working with Molly, and Katie, and Jack, and we have our first meeting scheduled for Tuesday at 4 o’clock at the George’s Creek Library and we’re looking forward to being able to update the community on what we’ve been up to and what’s ahead.”
