Pre-construction work for the Villages at Campobello, the housing site on the former Allegany High School property, should be underway soon. The project will see 65 new homes on roughly 12 acres, including town homes, villas, and single-family sites. Allegany County Economic Development Director Jeff Barclay tells WCBC he is excited to see the project moving…
“We haven’t had housing development of this stature, this size, 60-plus homes in probably 50, 60 years. I kind of tend to think back to the Bel Air subdivisions that were put in place for Allegany Ballistics Laboratory back in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s when the last time we’ve had housing at this scale.”
