The 75th Mineral County Fair opens tonight in Fort Ashby, but one event has been cancelled.  The Diamond-J Rodeo Bull Riding and Barrel Racing Show will not be taking place.  Mineral County Fair Chairman Bill Bradfield said the ground is not in the condition needed for the show….

   

“Due to the – well as everybody knows, due to the weather the condition of the track and stuff – the rodeo people for safety concerns for the riders and the animals and stuff – it’s just too soft.”

Rides and stage shows are scheduled to open at 6pm.
