On May 6th, 2024 at approximately 12:55 am, an officer of the Cumberland Police Department observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. A traffic stop was conducted and the operator, Benn Deal, was contacted. The officer observed evidence of impairment and after the performance of Standardized Field Sobriety, further evidence of impairment was observed. Deal was placed under arrest and was later released pending his trial at District Court.
