Early Holiday Buying May Be Down This Year

Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales may be more important than ever as the holiday shopping season officially kicks off. ABC's Andrea Fujii (foo-jee-EE) says shoppers may not spend as much, since they are concentrating on the cost of necessities…  

  

“A recent survey found shoppers will spend about 4% less this Black Friday and Cyber Monday than last year. About $622.  Inflation, the government shutdown, and weak jobs numbers all contributing to the lowest consumer confidence numbers since April.”
