An evening crash on Route 40 near the Youghiogheny Lake killed three people Monday evening. A tractor-trailer, van, and pickup were involved in the crash that occurred around 6pm. Pennsylvania State Police say the tractor-trailer was eastbound on National Pike when it crossed the centerline, hitting the pickup truck, which then hit the van.  The driver of the tractor-trailer, the pickup truck driver, and a passenger in the van were all killed.  Five other van passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment.
