The President of Maryland’s Senate has said “no” to attempts to redraw election redistricting in the state.  For Maryland to move forward with such a plan, Ferguson would have to give his approval. In a statement, the Democrat said that the timeline for the action is dangerous, the downside risk to Democrats is catastrophic, and the certainty of the existing map would be undermined. Several states have taken on redistricting ahead of mid-term elections.
