The City of Cumberland would like to notify the public of the installation of new gates and parking access stations in the Frederick Street and Center City Parking Garages beginning December 1st, 2025. On Monday and Tuesday, December 1st and 2nd, workers will be installing new gates and parking access stations in the Frederick Street Garage. All efforts will be made to keep one garage access lane open for incoming and outgoing garage traffic.

On Wednesday and Thursday, December 3rd and 4th, workers will be installing new gates and parking access stations in the Center City Garage. Again, all efforts will be made to keep the garage accessible to the public and permit holders.

Please be aware of possible traffic rerouting in and out of both the Frederick Street and Center City Garages and be cautious of workers on the scene. This work is necessary due to an upgrade to the parking access systems in both garages. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we bring this new, more efficient system online.
