The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigations Unit (C3I), conducted an investigation into a robbery that took place at a business in Ellerslie, MD, around 10:06 AM on Monday, July 28, 2025. Eric Jerome Gamble Jr., a 22-year-old resident of Frostburg, was taken into custody without incident earlier today. He was served with a District Court arrest warrant related to the investigation. After his arrest, Gamble was brought before the District Court Commissioner and was held without bail. The Maryland State Police and Frostburg State University Police assisted with the investigation.
