Allegany County Sheriff candidate Rich Godlove is looking to reform the sheriff’s department if he gains office. He says the main three areas he would like to address are efficiency, accountability, and transparency. As a recent guest on WCBC, Godlove said he would like deputies to be more visible in outlying areas of the county such as Westernport, Barton, and Lonaconing. “I want to look at establishing substations in those. Once we get a better relationship with those other areas, we get substations in there, we work with them – it’s going to increase response times from deputies, increase community patrols.”
