Mini-grant applications through the Passages of the Western Potomac Heritage Area are being accepted for non-profits and local jurisdictions within the heritage area boundary. Groups can apply for up to $5,000 in matching funds for heritage tourism projects in the county. Kim Folk, Marketing director, says funds are available till exhausted and help is available in applying. “We do highly recommend that they call in and talk to us before they do the application just so we can guide them and make sure they have a strong application and we don’t have to go back to them and say rewrite it. So, they are welcome to call us and talk to us about their potential project.”
