Friday afternoon at approximately 3:00 PM the Cumberland City Police Department were dispatched to the 900 block of Holland Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival officers spoke to the victim who advised the suspect was carrying a handgun. The suspect left the area and a broadcast of their description was provided. The suspect was located in the 400 block of Columbia Street. A high-risk stop was conducted and a loaded handgun was recovered from Calvin Xavier Salgado. Mr. Salgado was found to be prohibited from possessing firearms. Mr. Salgado was taken before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $5,000.00 bond.
