Registration for the Memorial Day parade ends this Wednesday, May 21st. Ed Mullaney, co-chair of Let’s Beautify Cumberland is encouraging patriotic participants in the parade, including youth and school groups, clubs, local businesses and musical groups. Let’s Beautify Cumberland, County United Way, Cumberland Times-News and WCBC Radio is sponsoring the Memorial Day parade to honor veterans on Memorial Day, May 26th. Roger Lantz, a Vietnam veteran who retired as owner of M&M Bake Shop will be grand marshal of the parade. The parade is planned to stage on Frederick Street, proceed to Mechanic and Baltimore streets and end at Queen City Drive.
