Governor Patrick Morrisey released an additional $2 million dollars to West Virginia food banks, making the total now $13.1 million in the past six weeks. Morrisey says he is cautiously optimistic that the government will work through reopening in the near future. In the meantime, he says any West Virginian in need should call the state’s 211 number…
“We have people standing by ready to help. We have the Guard. People can take food to folk’s houses. We want to make sure no one goes hungry—that’s the top priority, and, so, if there’s an issues, call 211 and we can be helpful.”
