Taking the family to see the Christmas windows in downtown Cumberland was an annual event. The latest in fashion, housewares, and toys were showcased in colorful windows with mechanized elves working on gifts.  Ed Mullaney of Let’s Beautify Cumberland recently talked to WCBC about the Heritage Parklet at the corner of Baltimore and Canal Streets, saying it brings back Christmas memories…

   

“It is a memory – like we all have our memories of the Rosenbaum Building and to walk back in that building now, I have the memories flash back. That parklet that Rhett Wolford designed and is sponsored by Let’s Beautify Cumberland and the Times-News, is a childhood memory in the future for what Rosenbaum’s was like for us.”
