The Pennsylvania legislature finally passed a budget bill last week, almost four months past the beginning of their fiscal year. Governor Josh Shapiro signed a $50 billion dollar budget that increases spending by 5%, but also reduces taxes. Shapiro announced a Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit that he says would put $193 million dollars back in residents’ pockets…
“People who are working and struggling to get by. It complements the existing federal earned income tax credit. If you’re a single mom with three kids who makes about $60,000 bucks a year, you could get up to $805 back in your state tax break next year.”
