Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred has lifted the bans on Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe Jackson, thus making them eligible for the baseball Hall of Fame.  Manfred said that the lifelong bans of Rose and Jackson should logically end with their deaths.  Rose died last September at the age of 83 and is baseball’s all time hit king and Jackson was banned for his role in the 1919 Black Sox scandal.
