Rosebud Mining of Pennsylvania has acquired Corsa Coal, which filed for bankruptcy at the beginning of the year. Corsa operated the Casselman Mine in Grantsville, Maryland’s largest underground coal mine. In March, Corsa laid off 93 employees at the mine but Rosebud has hired back 50 of them.  The Casselman mine produces coal for heat blast furnaces used in steel production.
