SPARC Research of Warrenton, Virginia who recently opened an office in downtown Cumberland, has been awarded two contracts through the Department of War. In early September, the aerospace firm received a $5 million dollar contract to develop solid rocket motor components. This past week, the company was awarded a $30.4 million dollar contract from the U.S. Air Force to develop and test extended-range solid rocket motors. Production is expected to occur in Warrenton.
