Maryland government leaders say the state continues to stand strong in the face of federal government impacts. A joint statement from the Governor and Lt. Governor along with Senate President Bill Ferguson and Comptroller Brooke Lierman celebrated the Triple-A credit rating that S&P Global is maintaining for the state. The rating comes after Fitch Ratings also held to the state’s Triple-A bond rating. Both agencies give the state a “stable” outlook. Earlier this year, Moody’s had downgraded their bond rating for the state from Triple-A to Double A-1.
