While Governor Wes Moore is putting the blame on a government shutdown on President Trump, State Comptroller Brooke Lierman has been running some numbers and they don’t look good for Maryland. “According to the Congressional Budget Office, the last Trump shutdown resulted in an estimated $3 billion dollar loss in economic activity nationwide. Well, my office estimates that the 2019 shutdown cost Maryland over $13 million dollars a day in statewide economic activity.”
