Senator Chris Van Hollen has reintroduced the Easy Enrollment Health Care Act, modeled on a program introduced by the state of Maryland in 2020 that has helped nearly 14,000 residents enroll in marketplace plans for health care. “Nine other states have follow Maryland’s lead to do that. We should do it at the federal level. All you have to do is put on your federal tax return a check-off that says “check to see if I’m eligible” and we can do that.”
