Maryland’s U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen along with Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley is traveling to the Mid-East this week to check on humanitarian aid in the Gaza strip. The senators will observe humanitarian aid efforts to Gaza as well as demand the immediate release of hostages in the region. They will also meet with communities in the West Bank and discuss ongoing violence and recent attacks on Christian communities.
