United Way Day of Caring and Sharing will be held as planned today in Cumberland, but a number of work groups will be assisting with Westernport flood clean-up. Volunteers from First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union, Historic Highlands Association of Realtors, CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, First United Bank and M&T Bank will head south to 170 Church Street in Westernport. These individuals will assist families impacted by Tuesdays floods in the area of the greatest need, according to City Administrator, Lauren Feeman Legge.  Westernport volunteers are advised to wear old clothing that my become quite soiled. Any additional individuals who would like to help with the Day of Caring clean up efforts in Westernport should report to 170 Church Street and ask for Misty after 9am.
