The Western Maryland Delegation to Annapolis held an overview of the coming legislative session at Rocky Gap on Friday. Sponsored by the Allegany Chamber of Commerce, the event allowed delegation members to relay their thoughts on the coming year.  Delegate Jason Buckel said the news of House Speaker Adrienne Jones stepping down would have the Democrats working overtime…

   

“The Democratic Caucus is going to meet on the 16th which is less than two weeks from now and the intent of their meeting is to select their nominee for Speaker. They could just keep things going with the Speaker Pro Tem who is a very nice man from Baltimore County named Dana Stein. He certainly is competent to manage the minor affairs of what goes on over the Christmas season.”
