The City of Cumberland’s Lobbyist, Rich Reinhardt, recently went over goals for the city in the next General Assembly. Last year, the focus centered on keeping the Senator George Edward Fund alive. Though the fund still holds priority, Reinhardt said this year is unique because Cumberland will be lobbying to help bring flood relief funds to the county…
“We are essentially working closely with the county and working with Governor’s office. I’m not sure where those funds will come from. If they are a part of the Rainy Day Fund or another source. But we’re essentially trying to help supplement the support of the county to get dollars back to these impacted areas.”
