West Virginia has secured $199 million from the Trump Administration through The Rural Health Transformation Fund for 2026—almost double the minimum West Virginia was to receive. The funding is part of President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” which provides sustained resources over five years. In a special statement, Governor Patrick Morrisey said the program works toward healthier living…
“This is a needle mover. This is really going to allow us to help improve health care in rural communities whether you’re talking about diabetes, COPD, or a number of other disease states, we have a chance to get a lot of our people healthier. That’s a great thing because we’re trying to create a virtuous circle: healthier people, more productivity in the workforce, more people overall in the workforce, and a stronger economy with a higher standard of living.”
