On Monday, May 22, 2023, at 3:32 p.m., Frostburg City Police responded to the 140 block of W. Main St., Frostburg, for a Motor Vehicle Crash involving a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, police learned that a 14-year-old female had been struck by a motor vehicle. Preliminary information showed that the youth entered onto the roadway in front of the moving vehicle such that there was nothing the driver could do to stop in time.
The 14-year-old female was injured but in stable condition. She was flown by Maryland State Police Trooper Five to Morgantown for medical treatment.
The investigation is continuing. Any witnesses to the crash are requested to contact Frostburg City Police at 301-689-3000.
Frostburg City Police responded to the scene along with the Allegany County Department of Emergency Services EMS Division, the Frostburg Fire Department, and the Shaft Fire Department.
