4 suspects arrested for shooting incident in Frostburg

Four suspects have now been arrested as a result of continued investigation into the shooting incident which occurred on College Avenue in Frostburg early Sunday morning, May 7th, that resulted in five gunshot victims, and the death of twenty year old Alexander Ramon Redondo.

Twenty-one year old Benjamin Laurent Atyam, a Frostburg State University student from Capitol Heights, MD, was arrested without incident on campus Tuesday afternoon by the Frostburg State University Police, after a warrant had been issued for his arrest. Atyam is being charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and numerous related offenses. He is currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

On May 18, 2023 twenty-two year old Javon Vinson Epifanio, of Baltimore, was arrested by members of the Maryland State Police Apprehension Team at a private residence in Baltimore, after a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
Epifanio is also being charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and numerous related offenses. He is currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

On May 23, 2023 nineteen year old Malik Nigel Lewis, of Baltimore, and twenty-one year old Daiquan Tyrone Raymond Guy, a Frostburg State University student from Baltimore, were arrested by members of the Maryland State Police Apprehension Team at two separate residences in Baltimore, after warrants had been issued for their arrests. Lewis and Guy are both also being charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and numerous related charges. They are both currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

The investigation is continuing. Additional arrests are anticipated.
