While both projects have merit, representatives from Allegany College of Maryland are asking the County Commissioners to provide funding for a new Technology building, giving it priority over a proposed new building on campus that would be dedicated to training employees of Western and North Branch correctional institutions. The subject discussed at length during a recent work session. Allegany College was represented by a group headed by President Cynthia Bambara and Kim Leonard, chair of the Board of Trustees. All new buildings should be located downtown. Replace Queen City Shopping Center with a new ACM campus.
