Westernport Elementary School will hold a Back to School celebration at the Piedmont Pool in Piedmont, WV, on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, from 5 to 7 p.m. All children attending must be accompanied by a parent. During the event, parents and students will have the opportunity to talk to their teacher and receive information regarding the 2015 – 2016 school year. Hot dogs, drinks and chips will be served. In the event of rain, Back to School Night will be held at Westernport Elementary School from 5 to 7 p.m. All parents and students will meet in the gymnasium for a brief opening, and then students will meet their new teacher. Food will then be served in the cafeteria.
Frost Elementary School will host a Back-to-School Night on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. The evening will include an introduction of staff, a volunteer orientation and a classroom visit with an opportunity to learn the expectations for the upcoming school year.
Westmar Middle School will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at 9 a.m. The event will be open to the public and held in the new athletic field area of the school, 16915 Lower George's Creek Road, SW, Lonaconing, MD 21539.
