Cumberland Police Arrest Report

On November 6th, 2022, The Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 500 block of Lowell Ave for the report of a disturbance inside the home. Upon arrival, officers observed two individuals involved in a verbal altercation. During the investigation, it was learned that James Glenn Nash, 46, was prohibited from being at the residence or contacting the other party due to an open and served Protective Order. At this time, it was also learned that Nash had an active Arrest Warrant for a similar incident that had occurred previously at the residence. As a result, Nash was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters. Nash was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.

Charges: Violate Protective Order x2, Harassment: Course of Conduct, Trespassing.

On November 6th, 2022, the Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Decatur St for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers contacted the involved parties involved. During the investigation, it was learned that William James Izzett, 35, and the other party had been involved in an argument that turned physical. It is alleged that Izzett then struck the victim in the face, causing minor visible injury. As a result, Izzett was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
