On June 7th, 2023 at approximately 8:40 hours officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 500 block of Cumberland Street for a reported disturbance. Upon officer’s arrival they spoke with two victims, who advised that Damon Claycomb had created a disturbance inside the residence. Claycomb then escalated from creating a disturbance, to assaulting one of the victims, destroyed their property, and threatened to burn their residence down. Claycomb was placed under arrest and taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held without bond.

Arrest: Damon Schyler Claycomb, age 21, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: Arson Threat, Assault Second Degree, Disorderly Conduct, Malicious Destruction of Property.
