At approximately 3:00pm Tuesday afternoon, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Department was contacted in regards to a person who had barricaded themselves inside their trailer in Rawlings with explosive devices. The surrounding area was evacuated with multiple agencies responding to the scene including the CERT Team. The standoff lasted into this morning, and at approximately 2:53am, the suspect finally was taken into custody. Allegany County Sheriff’s Department declined comment in lieu of a press release. WCBC News will provide more information once it becomes available.
