Local officials and community leaders spent last Thursday and Friday in Annapolis for PACE activites lobbying for western Maryland- specifically focusing on creating job for the economically distressed region. The message was not lost on state leaders- although they admit that Allegany and Garrett counties are faced with the challenge of being border counties.
