City of Cumberland will be upgrading the water main on Browning Street from Oak Street to Virginia Avenue.
NO PARKING signs will be placed in the active work zone during working hours. Parking will be limited throughout the duration of the project.
The work involves installing a new main and connecting the existing service lines to it. The work will require us to excavate along the route of the existing water line so that we can install the new one. The city will restore the disturbed grounds to match their original condition, and our city crews will patch all driveways/roadways.
Residents should be advised that water service will continue during the construction, but unforeseen disruptions could occur without notice. When houses are connected to the new line, all those affected will be notified in advance.
