The annual Mountain Maryland PACE Reception and Breakfast in Annapolis ended on a high note with U.S. Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen and the state’s new Comptroller Brooke Lierman addressing the overflow crowd at the Westin Annapolis Hotel. Prior to taking the stage, Senator Cardin joined WCBC’s News to discuss the recent announcement that millions of federal dollars have been secured for Western Maryland projects. Senator Van Hollen followed and he talked about the reason he makes an appearance at the PACE reception on an annual basis. Comptroller Learman was the keynote speaker, and although she has been a Baltimore representative when she served in the House, she has made a concerted effort in the past year to become familiar with Allegany and Garrett counties
