CEDC Director Comments On Medical Cannabis Decision

It was a stunning development, at least to some local officials, when Peak Harvest Health, LCC, did not receive one of the 15 licenses to grow or process medical cannabis in Maryland.

The firm had gained political support from both the Allegany County Commissioners and the City of Cumberland, and had identified a warehouse near the former Kelly Springfield Tire Plant as a site in which it would employ up to 100 individuals.
