On 07/23/2023 at approximately 4:00 AM an officer from Cumberland City Police observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Centre Street. The officer initiated a traffic stop and contacted the operator Carlos Barbosa. A loaded handgun was located in the vehicle and it was learned that Barbosa had a revoked license. Barbosa was placed under arrest and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center for central booking. Barbosa received a hearing before a District Court Commissioner and was released on his personal recognizance.

Charges – Loaded Handgun in Vehicle, Handgun in Vehicle, Driving Revoked, Driving without a License, additional non-serious traffic offenses
