Century III Mall Condemned

July 21st, 2023 by WCBC Radio

If you remember long shopping trips to Pittsburgh’s Century 3 Mall, you may be surprised to hear this – the property has been condemned.  The West Mifflin Borough Council voted to condemn the former mall at a meeting this week.  The 1.3 million square foot mall was opened in 1979 but closed in 2019 and has sat empty since then, with vandals painting graffiti, setting fires, and even one person falling through the roof.  The property is now owned by Moonbeam Capital who was fined $240,000 earlier this month for the condition of the mall.
